CARPENTER.GIF (18641 bytes) Reid Carpenter is the President of the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation.  He received his B.S. degree in sociology from Fairfield University, Fairfield, Connecticut in 1961.  For 17 years he worked on the staff of Young Life, working with adolescent children.  In 1978 he moved into the presidency of the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation, which is a publicly supported, non-profit, charitable organization which provides leadership in problem solving and advocacy and strengthening for grassroots organizations.  The Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation is concerned with areas of  youth needs, urban disadvantaged, chemical dependency, and the family.
